The "big idea" within our vision is authenticity. It is our belief that authentic Christianity attracts people to Christ. FCC's logo encompasses the church's vision in a visual way, which is explained below.

Authenticity: In ancient Rome, the Roman emperor would dip his ring in wax and stamp a letter to show that the letter was genuine. His ring was the "seal of authenticity." (Similar to a "notary public" stamp.) In our church's logo, the circle represents that "seal of authenticity." It also represents that in Christ Jesus we are "sealed for eternity." By faith in Jesus Christ, God brings us back into a right relationship with Himself. Through Christ we are sealed, and now He empowers us to live an authentic life for Him.

Relationships: Our desire is to be authentic in our relationships with God and with each other. The cross represents both our vertical relationship (with God) and our horizontal relationship (with each other). The cross also emphasizes the fact that Jesus Christ is at the center of all we do as a church.

The Colors: The two colors also represent our two relationships. Blue, is the color of loyalty and represents our relationships with each other. Gold is the color of royalty, and represents our relationship with God. In Jesus Christ we are a "chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy" (1 Peter 2:9-10).
